Oven Roasted Almonds- 4 simple ingredients

This is the perfect compliment to your salads, soups and desserts. You’ll love to top EVERYTHING with them or just grab a few for a snack. This is a simple recipe that can be thrown together at the last minute during your meal prep.
You can also substitute whole almonds or, another one of our favorites in NC, pecans halves!

Ingredients:
5 ounces of Slivered Almonds
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350*

Using a large baking pan or cookie sheet, cover with a piece of parchment paper.
Spread almonds over the sheet in a single layer. Drizzle olive oil and maple syrup over the nuts. (Tip: if you drizzle the olive oil first, it will prevent the maple syrup from sticking to your spoon) Then sprinkle salt.

Bake for 25 minutes while stirring every 5-10 minutes. The almonds should be a light brown.
Keep a close eye on your almonds after 15 minutes until you know your oven well. Once the almonds start to brown, they can burn very quickly!

Once cooled you can store in an air tight container in your pantry.
Enjoy!
