
Green beans- growing up, I remember green beans 2 ways:
1- fresh from the garden, crispy right off the vine
2- frozen green beans boiled into mush in a pot of water
Anyone that can relate?
My son has recently been introduced to baked green beans, a bit slimy and swimming is some sort of sauce. This was at a team dinner and kudos to them for having something green on the table.
However- I did feel the need to redeem the beauty of green beans at dinner last night. Fresh, lightly steamed, and so delicious. And the bright green is just a beautiful accent to your meal.

Pair steamed veggies on top of your salad. You’re still getting all your greens, but feel like you had a hot meal for those cool winter days.
